LFL Care School Support

Shadow teachers, inclusion assessments and on-site clinical support for inclusive schools.

We partner with mainstream and inclusive schools to make classrooms work for every child. Our shadow teachers sit beside the child through the school day, our special educators and therapists run in-school assessments and pull-out sessions, and we coach class teachers so inclusion continues even when our team is not in the room. Everything is coordinated with the child's family and follows the same measurable, session-by-session plan we use in therapy.

On-site at the child's school — coordinated with home and online therapy where needed

Who this supports

  • Children who need a shadow teacher to access the classroom
  • Schools building or strengthening an inclusive-education policy
  • Children with ASD, ADHD, speech and language delays or learning differences
  • Class teachers seeking practical strategies for diverse learners
  • Families needing school-day support coordinated with home therapy

How we help

  • Classroom observation and inclusion assessment before any support starts
  • A matched shadow teacher trained for the child's specific goals
  • Pull-out therapy and special-education sessions scheduled within the school day
  • Weekly teacher coaching on classroom strategies and behaviour support
  • Monthly progress reviews shared with parents and school leadership

How school support runs

01

School and family conversation

We meet the school team and the family to understand the child's day, the classroom expectations and the support already in place — no charge, no obligation.

02

Inclusion assessment

Our clinicians observe the child in class and use standardised tools to map communication, attention, participation and self-help skills.

03

Support plan and placement

A shadow teacher and therapy schedule are matched to the child's goals, agreed with the school, and documented so progress stays measurable.

04

Reviews with school and parents

Weekly notes, teacher coaching and monthly reviews keep parents and school leadership aligned on how inclusion is progressing.
